Studio Policies
ENCORE Studio/Classroom Policies
CONDUCT: The studio lobby and classrooms are not be used for a playground or as an arena for critiquing the students and/or gossiping about others. Please be courteous and respectful. Absolutely no running or loud noises. Please do not knock on the windows or bend the blinds.
RESPECT: Students and parents need to respect all instructors. If there is ever a problem, please find a time to visit with Janet &/or the instructor personally. Between classes is not the time to resolve problems. ENCORE wants to ensure your concerns are given full attention.
TARDIES: If you drive yourself to class and are consistently late, you may be asked to observe class rather than participate, and your parents will be notified. This is disrespectful to your instructors and fellow classmates.
ATTIRE: Proper attire is required for each class. Proper dress helps prevent injury, helps you to dance and allows the instructor to observe body placement and make corrections. Check with instructor if unsure of proper dress. See Classes and Tuition Page for details.
WATER ONLY: Absolutely no gum, candy, jewelry, food, or drink in the entire dance studio. No soft drinks or smoothies allowed in the studio. No water bottles allowed in the dance rooms; please set them right outside of the dance room. We ask that you eat your food outside, in the car, or in the restaurant. PLEASE clean up after yourself and your children.
CHANGES: Please notify ENCORE of any address, phone number, or scheduling changes. If you make a schedule change you must speak with the person at the front desk.
LEVEL: ENCORE faculty encourages all students to progress at their own rate within an encouraging and nurturing environment. Janet will notify a parent if their child is ready to move to the next level. Emotional, social, and physical needs are foremost in our consideration of class placements. We appreciate your respect and cooperation with this matter.
PAYMENT: There is a tuition box located by the front desk for you to drop your payments. There is also a mail slot by the front door that may be used if the studio is closed.
PLEASE…no interruptions before, during or between classes. Only students and teachers are to be in the studio classrooms.
